General Description

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations for a nationwide general contracting/design-build company based in Cleveland, OH. This person will be responsible for financial management, personnel management, business development, sales management and all facets of project management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of supervisory general construction and design-build experience.
  • Experience working with Federal/State/Local and private facilities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management, field representatives, salesmen and clients.
  • High degree of organization, problem recognition and dispute resolution.
  • Extraordinary written and oral communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure job quality and proper job close-out with all projects throughout the United States.
  • Monitor project operations including quality, safety, progress of work and budget compliance.
  • Travel, as appropriate, in order to facilitate these core responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the entire team.
  • Set goals and communicate these goals to the entire team and coordinate the work necessary to accomplish them.
  • Create and maintain improvements on all systems and procedures.
  • Handle the hiring of employees and all disciplinary actions.
  • Daily leadership by example.
  • Determine budgets and set financial goals.
  • Achieve financial goals and improve performance.
