Garland Recognized as Socially Responsible, Employee-Friendly Environment
Garland recently received two awards that recognize its people-first culture and commitment to the quality of life. The Employers Resource Council (ERC), North East Ohio’s largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, honored Garland with the NorthCoast 99 Award for the twelfth consecutive year. Garland was also honored as a finalist in this year’s Emerald Awards by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Honorees are awarded for demonstrating cost-trimming and environment-enhancing benefits of a People, Planet, Profits philosophy.

Garland Recognized for Successful Business Practices
Garland received three commerce awards in 2011: The NEO Success Award, sponsored by Inside Business magazine, recognizes the top-performing companies in Northeast Ohio; the Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University honors the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio; and Inc. magazine identifies the top ranking companies Nationwide. Garland Industries achieved a 30 percent growth rate from 2007 to 2010.

Garland Recognized as Innovative Manufacturer
Garland recently received three honors for innovation. The 2011 eVolution of Manufacturing Award recognizes Garland’s ability to adapt manufacturing methods to the changing global marketplace. Also, two Garland products received honorable mentions from Architectural Products magazine’s Product Innovation Awards (PIA 2011).
