Millennium high-performance roofing membranes are advanced, polymer-modified, coal tar membranes for use in multi-ply BUR roofing systems. Millennium membranes are a combination of polyester and fiberglass reinforcements that have been encapsulated in a polymer-modified coal tar compound for enhanced performance.

The Millennium roofing system is built on coal tar technology that has been proven in decades of performance. The polymer-modified coal tar compound is applied during the manufacturing process to a scrim reinforcement to create a membrane. It offers watertight protection, particularly for flat-roof commercial applications where intermittent ponding is a continual concern.

The Millennium multi-ply polymer-modified coal tar system has been field proven to resist moisture, natural aging, chemicals, fats, salts, and ultraviolet (UV) degradation, while providing exceptional elongation characteristics and flexibility at cold temperatures. It can be hot-applied or cold-applied, or installed using Garland Black•Knight™ modified adhesives. Optional mineral surfacing is available for applications that require the waterproofing protection of coal tar, but cannot withstand the added weight of a gravel surface.
