In 1978, Garland became the first manufacturer to introduce modified bitumen technology to the commercial roofing market in the United States. Since the introduction of modified bituminous membranes to the North American market, Garland continues to lead the roofing industry with superior scrims and unique polymer blends designed to extend the life of our roof systems.

Garland is also a leader in sustainable design in the roofing industry. Many of Garland’s modified bitumen membranes incorporate post consumer and post industrial recycled materials. Garland continues to raise the roofing industry standard – one roll at a time.

The Garland family of high-performance modified bitumen roofing systems exceed all Factory Mutual, Underwriters Laboratories, Warnock Hersey and Dade County requirements when installed according to Garland standard specifications. Garland’s modified roofing systems can be variously applied by hot asphalt, cold adhesive, torch or self adhered.
