VaporSmart SA is a self-adhering air barrier/vapor retarder for roof application that can also serve as a temporary waterproofing membrane to be used during a roof system installation. The membrane consists of SBS-modified bitumen. The surfacing of the membrane consists of a woven polypropylene film that provides UV resistance, slip resistance, and surface protection that allows the membrane to temporarily be exposed to the elements. The membrane also consists of a split-release film on the backside to aid in the self-adhering application.
